LIFE-CHANGING EDUCATION

Education is key to effecting meaningful change in the world. As a passionate teacher, I instil in every student the desire to learn, capacity for critical and creative thinking and positive attitude about life and learning. I make History exciting by using films both as historical source and teaching tool.

  • Nine years of university-level teaching experience in Singapore and the Philippines

  • Delivered special lectures in various countries in Asia, North America, and Europe

  • Developed syllabi in Asian History, World Civilizations, Cultural Cold War, and Film and IR

  • Interdisciplinary research on History, Film, Politics, Heritage and Education

  • PhD History from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, ranked 12th in QS World University Rankings in 2018

  • Recipient of international awards and fellowships from United States, Switzerland, Japan, China, and Singapore
